Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014 is kicking in for three weeks now.
I know that you are as curious as i am, peeking what would be chic, hip and fab for the next summer !

First thing i can say after seeing the press release on New York Fashion Week is........

Let's work our stomach out 
Yes, the cropping shirt is continue to rolling in the next summer !

Tennis Skirt is the IT skirt !  
Seems now is the time to say goodbye to our pencil skirts and say hello to the mini-sporty-but cute-a line-skirt !

Besides these two goodness, more sporty wear like bomber jacket could be seen in many designer's houses as well..

Soooo let's put our sneakers on?

it's been like months i'm longing for spring to arrive. Better days, sun rays, warm air, that could chill any frozen heart, and turn a frown into a smile, including....... turning dark colors to a brighter one.. so after couple months using dark purple and red nail polish, i'm in the urge (yes, i am) of giving some twinkle and some hope in my nails. and my choice this time goes tooooo a blue green nail polish from color club, a brand i discovered in the Tranoi Tradeshow during the Paris Fashion Wee. Which color is your fave?

Well,
i have this subject that is very berry interesting in my master (finally), call International Marketing. The prof is a professional buyer and asked us to make a research what is actually fashion, and what differentiate it from the trend. So here it goes:

Coco Chanel once said Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only, it is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.

So, fashion is a way to express one's self, through what you wear (clothes, accessories, haircut, make up) it is about what, when, where and how do you wear it altogether.  It reflects your ideas, your identity, your culture, your personality,which generally, it reflects you. People that lives in different part of the world, with different climate and culture will choose clothes differently, as well as people that has different ideas and different life style.
In short, if fashion is an ocean, all of those differences would be the various of the sea creatures  that exist in it, and we choose one by one of that creatures based on our personal values.

Meanwhile, the trend is like the sea waves, it brings some pieces of the creatures in the ocean to the sea shore and stay there for a while.
So, trend is the latest fashion that is inspired by the runway and the designer latest collection at a precised time. For the first step, these trends will be consumed by the early adopters like the star or socialite that has a power to be in the center of media's attention until finally that style be followed by the follower who look their style in the media.

Conclusion, trend is a part of fashion, their existence linked on another, fashion creates trend and trend creates fashion..
